What we collect
Only what you choose to send.
Contact form. If you submit the form, we receive the information you enter: your name, work email address, company, company stage, what is driving the need, any engagement you selected, and your message. We use it for one purpose: understanding your request and responding to you.
Direct email. If you email [email protected], we receive your message and address and use them to reply.
Abuse protection. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates technical signals from your browser to distinguish people from bots. Turnstile is loaded from Cloudflare and processes data under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We see only the pass/fail result, never the signals.
Standard server logs. Our hosting and network providers record short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, requested URL, and user agent) to operate and protect the service, as virtually every website's infrastructure does.
What we do not do. No advertising, no analytics trackers, no tracking cookies, no social pixels, no selling or renting of personal information. Fonts are served from this domain, so viewing the site sends no font request to third parties.
Who processes it
A short, deliberate list.
Specters is a United States–based consultancy, and information you send is processed in the United States by these infrastructure providers acting on our behalf:
GitHub Pages hosts this static website. Cloudflare provides DNS, network delivery, Turnstile verification, the service that relays form submissions, and routing of email sent to our domain. Formspree delivers validated form submissions to our inbox. Our business email is hosted by Google Workspace.
Each provider receives only what its role requires, and none of them is permitted to use your inquiry for its own purposes beyond operating the service.
Retention. Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any resulting engagement, and for reasonable business record-keeping afterward. You can ask us to delete an inquiry at any time.
Your choices
Ask, and we act.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have sent us, and you can ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. We respond to every verified request; where privacy law such as the GDPR or a US state privacy law grants you specific rights, we honor those rights.
For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom: we process inquiry data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries you initiate, and we retain it as described above. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If we change this notice, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be noted here plainly.
